CONVECTION
Convection is the transfer of heat through gas and liquids. An easy way to explain convection, is boiling water. It starts by putting the water in a pot and then placing the pot onto the stove. Water at the bottom heats first, it expands and rises up through the cooler water. When the water reaches the top of the pot, it cools and then sinks back down to the bottom. The warmer water rises because it is less dense than the colder water, which is more dense so it falls. This circular motion continues until all the water is the same temperature.
